About Us

The MISSION of the Trout Conservancy is to conserve and improve Montana's wild trout populations through habitat restoration, education and outreach. We seek to sustain wild trout so that future generations can also enjoy their beauty and wildness.

We depend on donations and grants, which we spend on wild trout conservation, habitat restoration and education projects. These projects generally originate with our partners, or we develop the project ourselves. Most of each dollar we receive goes directly to on-the-ground trout habitat improvement.

The Trout Conservancy of Montana is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public interest organization without true (voting) members, incorporated in May 2000 in the State of Montana. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
