"What's the difference between Trout Conservancy and Trout Unlimited?"

This often-asked question has an easy answer. We are not politically or legally oriented.

We are a Montana based organization devoted to enhancing, restoring and protecting wild trout habitat through direct, hands-on projects.

Most of every dollar we get goes to 'on the ground' projects with direct benefits for Montana's wild trout.

Mission

The mission of the Trout Conservancy is to conserve and improve the wild trout populations of Montana and the northern Rockies through habitat restoration, education and outreach.

We secure funding for wild trout conservation, habitat restoration and education projects. These projects generally originate with our partners, or we develop the project ourselves. We are unique in that most of each dollar we receive goes directly to on-the-ground trout habitat improvement.

 

The Trout Conservancy of Montana is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public interest organization without members, incorporated in May 2000 in the State of Montana.
